Welcome

Purposeful practice. More equitable pathways.

This portfolio documents my graduate learning, professional practice, and developing commitments as an emerging higher education scholar-practitioner.

Educational philosophy

I believe students thrive when institutions pair meaningful relationships with clear, accessible pathways to resources, learning, and community. Student-facing services should recognize students’ strengths while taking responsibility for identifying and addressing institutional barriers.

Professional direction

My developing practice centers student success, access, persistence, belonging, and graduation. I aspire to pursue doctoral study and leadership roles that help higher education institutions become more responsive and equitable for Deaf students.

Practice at San Antonio College

My professional background includes academic advising support, student services, front desk supervision, and student employee development. These experiences shape my commitment to attentive, student-centered practice.

Guiding question: What can colleges change so Deaf students can access support, participate fully, build belonging, persist, and graduate?
